Nature is more alive than our eyes or our mind can believe.

The trees do not move nor speak. They just remain deeply rooted in the land where they once sprouted. And even then they emanate life. Breathing, feeling, whispering. The most attentive hearts realize how much they nestle, calm and fill us with joy.

They are the the cradle of life, welcoming in their branches and trunks all those who need their protection. They live longer than all the animals and people who pass them by, because they home to the essence of Peace, and their ancestral wisdom teaches us how much the simplicity is precious.

The greek believed that every tree has a spirit, manifested in the form of a kind young lady. They called them Dryads, the forest nymphs. They protect their physical bodies – the trees – and always live close to them, blessing the ones who are fair with nature and making the wishes come true for those who have good intentions.

Asleep with the old mythology that originated them, the Dryads are invisible to our eyes, but nature keeps reminding us of its existence. We can not see them, but we can feel them. Their soul resembles ours, as we are part of nature and it is part of us. Being in the nature transmits us calmness and harmony, and our heart recognizes we found Peace.

In this project the ballerinas, as the Dryads, are the living reflection of something solid. Dancing is a way to express through the body what goes in the soul, and represents the intense and pulsating movement of life. Photography and dance get together to bring to life the spirits of the forest.
